JJ's Birth Mom had a baby boy today. JJ will be 2 in August, his full bio sister will be 3 in September, and their baby brother was born today.
We have not heard from her for 3 months which is very unusual and speculate what that is about (we found out about the baby via private fb pages we have set up between JJ and her). We pray for her and for JJ's siblings.
That gives me pause to consider my children's family trees. Superman, Faith, Grace, and JJ all have 1 - 5 more siblings on their mother AND father's sides (and they thought they were in a large family being 1 of 6 kids lol!). Some we get to know names of, some we get the blessing of knowing, and some we will never know.
Adoption: Such Joy. Such Heartache. People need to consider the entire gamut of the realities of adoption prior to jumping in. Adoption is not about saving a child. It is much, much bigger and messier. Anyone who gets into this process expecting it to be nice and neat...needs to think about it some more. I am so thankful that there is one simple piece to all of this: GOD. He is BIG, SOVEREIGN, LOVING, ABUNDANT, and ENOUGH.
