Our Adoption Timeline

February 2007 started Liberian adoption process
November 19, 2007 - lost referral of I and E. Back to waiting for referral
February 2008 - received referral for 2 boys from AoH Liberia
March 2008 - Grace's (our foster baby) parents relinquish their parental rights
May 27, 2008 found out about Faith and Superman. May 31 and June 1 the came for the weekend.
June 9th Faith and Superman came home for good
June 12 - We adopted Grace
July - updated our fingerprints with UCIS to keep our international adoption options open - Liberian adoptions were on hold due to country issues.
October - submitted paperwork for I600A extension in case adoptions open again in Liberia
December 2008 - trial begins to terminate parental rights of Sport and Faith's mother and fathers
January 2009 - mother's and fathers' rights are terminated
June 2009 - Superman's birth certificate is finally obtained
July 2009 - the file finally went from HHS to the adoption attorney. It is getting closer!
10/13/2009 - Adoption of Superman and Faith! Adoptions all done...for now???
4/2010 - home study begins:)
6/2010 - the wait for a call begins:)
8/12/2010 - a call to be considered by a Tummy Mommy
8/13/2010 - chosen by Tummy Mommy
8/15 - left for Utah
8/16 met Tummy Mommy
8/17 present during JJ's birth
8/18 adoption paperwork/relinquishment signed
8/19 JJ discharges hospital and is ours!
8/20 back home - 1 week after we found out we were chosen to be JJ's parents!
4/28/2011 Adoption Finalization
